Growing up in Raleigh he graduated North Carolina State University in 1976 with a BA in Business Management. After a short time in the business world he graduated Southwestern Baptist Theological Seminary in Fort Worth, TX in 1983 with a Masters of Divinity degree. In 1989 he earned the Doctor of Ministry degree from Southeastern Baptist Theological Seminary in Wake Forrest, NC. He has pastored three churches in eastern North Carolina, in Clinton, Newport, and now Kinston. Randy is also an adjunct professor of religion at Mount Olive College, New Bern where he teaches Bible, theology, and history to working adults who are completing their BS degree in religion. Randy and his wife, Karen have two adult children, Paul and Laura.
Deputy Director of the Master Of Public Health Program with a joint appointment as the Director of Community Initiatives for the Division of CommunityHealth and Preventative Medicine at Brody School of Medicine, East Carolina University. Ms. Little has more than 22 years of public health experience. She was founder and chair of the Jones County Healthy Carolinians Task Force. She has extensive grant writing and project development experience and has been recognized for her leadership in improving both access to care and health status of underserved populations in eastern North Carolina. She has substantial experience in both for-profit and non-profit management. Ms. Little serves on numerous boards and provides consultation to health care agencies throughout easternNorth Carolina.
Jimbo is a 1977 graduate of the University of North Carolina, Chapel Hill with a BA in business administration and a 1980 graduate of the UNC School of Law with a JD. A former Assistant United States Attorney for the Eastern District of North Carolina, Jimbo was also a member of the Lenoir County School Board. Jimbo is active in youth sports and other community activities to include serving as a Board Member for the Salvation Army. He is currently an elder at Grace Fellowship Church. Jimbo, his wife Joan, and their sons reside in Kinston, N.C. Jimbo currently chairs the Fundraising Committee of Son Set Ministries.

Sandra is a 1977 graduate ofNorth Carolina State University with a BA in English. She remains active in the Beta Sigma Phi Service Sorority, and serves on a variety of administrative committees within her church. Sandra has over 15 years of experience in youth counseling. Sandra, her husband Keith, and their two daughters live in Kinston, N.C. Sandra currently serves on the Finance Committee of Son Set Ministries and is the Board Treasurer.
Chuck Stokes is a successful independent businessman, farmer and active church leader. Chuck recently completed his degree in religion at Mt. Olive College. Chuck, his wife Kim, and their two daughters reside in Ayden, N.C. Chuck currently serves on the Construction/Development committee.
Debbe is currently employed by Gentiva Health Services as clinical and compliance auditor. She has a bachelor's degree in Education and in nursing. Debbe is a member of Queen Street United Methodist Church and has served the Lord in many ministries there, including teaching Disciple Bible Study for several years. She has been involved with the Walk to Emmaus spiritual retreat program for over 10 years and the related Epiphany programs held at Dobb's Training Facility for incarcerated teenage boys. Debbe and her husband, Bill, live in Kinston and have 2 grown children and two grandsons. She is the Board secretary
Board member, Todd Edwards, is the husband of Suzanne Moye Edwards. Together, they live in Farmville NC, and are the owner/ operators of Todd D. Edwards Construction. They are the parents of Duke Edwards and Camille Edwards. Todd has served, in leadership, on numerous civic, church and local government advisory boards. He is a very active volunteer in his community. All of that pales in comparison to the importance of his service on the Board of Directors of Sonset Ministries (The Refuge). He continues to be humbled that the Lord chose to use him, as one of many, brought to this place, in this time, to help build this ministry. He prays that this place will always be used for one purpose, and one purpose only, and that is to glorify the name of the Lord and his son, Jesus.
Phil is married and has 2 grown children, he is a member of Shady Grove UMC where he is an active lay speaker. He works with the local Rest Home ministry and is active with the local and state Special Olympics. He owns Moore Brother's Farm and lives in Jones County.
Buddy attends Greenville Christian Fellowship and works actively with the youth all across Pitt County. A graduate of East Carolina University with a degree in Finance, he is employed by Stallings Mini and Mobil Storage in Greenville. Buddy lives in Greenville and has 3 children.
A native of Gatesville, NC, Wanda is an ECU graduate with a BS in Sociology and a minor in interpreting of the deaf and hard of hearing. A licensed and ordained elder, Wanda has 10 years of youth pastor experience and 5 years experience in the non-profit world. She currently serves as vicechairman of the Lenoir County DJJDP, Executive Board member of the Lenoir County Association of Congregations and is a certified group exercise and yoga instructor. She and her husband Joel reside in Kinston, NC.
