On Thursday evening, the traditional community picnic was held in the parking lot of Queen’s Street United Methodist Church with over 600 people from throughout the community joining together for fellowship and worship. We thought that we might have trouble with storms but what happened next was truly a blessing. We quickly had to take everything down and move everyone into the sanctuary at Queen Street UMC where we had 30 minutes of powerful worship and fellowship as the storms passed over. Afterwards we moved outside where we had a great meal and fellowship followed by worship music from Southwood Christian Church praise band. The week wrapped up on June 24th with a closing ceremony attended by families, friends, and community leaders. Smiles, hugs and tears marked the faces of those participating as they said their goodbyes and loaded up their gear....already talking about next year's ETL. The greatest work accomplished was not that of the groups around the city, it was the work of the Holy Spirit on the hearts of all who participated in the eighth ETL experience. Son Set Ministries is proud to sponsor Erasing the Lines under the continued leadership of Sammy Hudson, Randy Cobb, Cindy Nicholson, Justin Combs, Rick Kearney, Leanne Calhoun and John Robert Harris and the many others who graciously give of their time and talents.
