Erasing the Lines  (June 17-21)

6th-12th Grade

Join us for our 10th annual summer mission week in Kinston, NC, and watch the body of Christ come alive! Middle and high school students are assigned to small groups of 10-12, and the week is spent in service to the community and worship of the King. Nights are spent at Rochelle Middle School. Campers should sign up with their youth group.

Connecting the Dots  (June 17-21)

K-5th Grade

During this week elementary school students will give their faith hands and feet as they serve local communities in Kinston and Green County, and impact the world for Christ. This Day-Camp will take place in conjunction with “Erasing the Lines” in Kinston, NC, with a later week at the Refuge in July.

Summer Build    (Youth - July 14-20)          (Families - August 4-9)

The Refuge offers a unique opportunity for groups to join us in building a camp that will advance the kingdom of God for many years to come! Groups will participate in various work activities during the day and will be able to find "refuge" in the LORD at nights through evening worship, funny skits and great food.

Day Ventures   (Autism - June 24-28)     (Nature - July 22-26)    (Sports - July 29- August 2)

Day Ventures is our version of day camps. This summer we have three unique opportunities for campers to experience God's love at The Refuge. Our Autism week is a camp favorite offering the opportunity for children with Autism to experience life at Camp. They will canoe, fish, explore the forest, make crafts and experience camp at a pace that is appropriate for them. Nature week will focus its activity times on fresh water and forest eco-systems. Campers will learn how amazing and intricate God's creation truly is. Sports week will focus on helping campers to learn skiils in football, basketball, volleyball, and soccer. We will have afternoon competitions for them to test their skills against each other while also learning sportsmanship. Each of these camps will also include swimming, canoeing, fishing, fun games, devotion times, and praise and worship.

Adventure Week

6th-9th Grade

This promises to be an unforgettable week, as campers are challenged mentally, physically and spiritually in the adventure of a lifetime. Part of the week will be spent at The Refuge, and part will be in the wilderness, canoeing down Contentnea Creek and camping on the banks. Campers will learn how to work as a team on our low ropes challenge course before setting of on the two day paddle adventure. The week will end with a sailing adventure on the Neuse River in New Bern where campers will experience life on a 100 year old Skip Jack vessel. We will be doing all this while also learning about the greatest adventure of all of following Jesus Christ.
